PROGRAM PHILOSOPHYAs a communications media, film and photography have a tremendous power to inform, entertain and persuade. With the basic understanding gained in this course, it is hoped that some students will be motivated to explore other areas of video production and photography, and learn to use new tools as they are developed, either professionally, or for recreation.

Class Guidelines
- Student collaborative skills are crucial to success in Production Graphics, therefore you must cooperate with all members of your group.
- When assigned tasks are completed students must be prepared to work on self guided assignments and demonstrate the qualities of an engaged and self motivated learner.
- Because film and photo tasks often take place outside of the classroom students must work in a mature and safe manner.
- As we work in a computer lab please do not bring food or drinks into the class.
Assessment
Student work will be collected on a digital portfolio using FreshGrade. Students will receive formative assessment on their portfolio and during class on an ongoing basis. Teacher and student will collaborate to form a fair and meaningful summative assessment.
